Open water swimming is a different experience than taking a dip in the pool. There are unique rules to follow to ensure your safety while having the best possible time in open water. Mostly, make sure to swim with someone else, carry a Swim Buoy for added visibility, and keep an eye out for local beach regulations. Swim Buoys provide extra flotation for stronger swimmers and also it helps more novice swimmers feel supported so you can both safely enjoy your day of swimming as far as your heart desires. Before taking the plunge make sure to educate yourself on local regulations as some areas may require you to use a Swim Buoy, life vest, or fins– all necessities you'll want before jumping in!
